Paperstone ® Paper Surface

Paperstone ® is a sustainable composite material made from  post- consumer recycled paper*, PetroFree™ phenolic resins and natural pigments.

Paperstone’s ® non-porous surface provides a lifetime of stain resistance and it absorbs virtually no water. Surface cuts or mars may be sanded or rubbed out with an abrasive pad and treated with Paperstone ® Finish.

Paperstone ® is extremely rigid and dense, lending to additional applications beyond countertops such as furniture, vertical panels and partitions, signs and cutlery handles. This superior strength allows innovative cantilevered designs up to 18-inches of unsupported overhang when using 3/4-inch material. This is up to 10″ more than natural stone, quartz or solid surface countertops of the same thickness. It is heat resistant to 350°F (175 °C) and is certified food safe by The National Sanitation Foundation.

Because it is made completely of recycled paper and plant based resins, Paperstone ® emits no radon gases and is VOC-free. Because of this, Paperstone is GreenGuard ® certified for indoor air quality.

Projects incorporating Paperstone ® are  eligible for LEED ® Credits for sustainable design.

Note: Color appearance will be affected by monitor or printer settings. We recommend seeing live samples before making your color decision.
